Settling in.
Starting nursery — for any child, at any age — takes time. We know that, and we plan for it. Your child's key person will lead the settling-in process, getting to know your child gradually and at a pace that works for them.
If your child is finding the transition difficult, please talk to us. There's no standard timeline for settling in, and we'd rather take longer and do it well.

If you need to book a holiday during term time, or notify us of an absence, please use the Famly app or contact us directly.
Paediatric First Aid training — for you.
Every member of our team holds a current Paediatric First Aid certificate — it's a requirement under EYFS (Section 3.25), and something we take seriously. We also believe parents should have access to this training.
We work with Train Aid to offer Paediatric First Aid courses to our families, delivered at the nursery. The course is Ofsted-recognised and covers:
- Breathing difficulties and CPR
- Choking
- Bleeding and shock
- Seizures
- Anaphylaxis
- Common childhood illnesses
The course is delivered in two parts: an online component followed by a face-to-face practical session. Groups are small — up to 12 learners — and the session comes to you, here at the nursery.
Parents who've attended tell us it's one of the most useful things they've done. We run sessions periodically — speak to us to find out when the next one is.

Day-to-day updates and messages
The Famly app is the best place for daily updates about your child — sleep, food, photos, and messages from your child's key person. You can also use Famly to report an absence, book extra sessions, and contact the nursery out of hours.
